Six - that's enough!


Six years gone by.The days were long but the years simply flew by.Time-you ruthless,cruel being!

Shy and talkative,bold and quiet,vibrant and subtle,handsome and lovable,funny,kind,sensitive and so much more -make you - YOU!

You light up a room when you enter. You go out of your way to make sure that everyone feels welcome and can’t stand to see anyone hurting. That sad feeling you sometimes get when you see someone hurting or upset on TV or in the movies? That’s empathy. That you possess this trait at your age is a treasure. Your beautiful old soul simply is so beautiful.That is what makes you so beautiful -your soul.Your hello's brighten up any sad face- even grumpest!

You paint our world in colors never know.You fill our hearts with love Id never known.You love and smile and stroke our weary souls so gently.You tell me everyday with your words and actions that you can never have too many reasons for loving someone.Your growing at  a pace that makes me proud and also a wee bit sad.My babe,my cuddly lil baby is now swiftly leaving behind his babyhood.He is now a handsome lil fella - all of 6!

It simply so easy to love you!Here is my 6 reasons why its so easy to love you!
1)You are a dreamer,you want to be a jet pilot and a cracker tester and an astronaut.I love this.I love that you want so much from your life.I love that you think its normal to multitask,To believe you can dream and life has no limits.
2)Your wonderful sense of humor.For eg:Ma,why is foot ball called a foot ball,it doesnt have any feet.
3)You believe in the powerful God.The conversations you have with us about Him and heaven.It simply leaves me astounded.It is simply divine.
4)You simply and fiercely love us and do not hesitate to express it either.
5)You are my best friend.I simply enjoy our time together.Have always and will always
6)You are so creative.Creative in your play,creative in your thoughts,in your stories,in your feelings.Your simply magically creative.


Happiest 6th birthday Yadditu,such a wonderful honor it is to mother you.

In the last year,a quick look at some things that have come and gone and some that have stayed put!

·         You are back at Sloka and you simply simply love your school.You love your school friends and equally love your apartment friends.You have made so many friends this year!
·         You started with skating this year and took to it like an absolute PRO!
·         You LOVE football.You play foot ball everyday.COSCO your ball is your new best friend.He makes you very very happy!
·         From absolute zero milk intake to 2 glasses a day,we have grown this year.
·         Well and literally too,your growth spurt has been terrifyingly quick.
·         You are the biggest fan of my cakes and bakes.You simply devour them all up.You make me feel like im the best baker in the world and when i say this you insist "But,amma you are!"
·         You have around 8 sisters and a couple more of your friends and my friend;s daughters that you have adopted in as your sisters too,so in a total a grand 10,you love your sisters and always talk so fondly about all of them.
·         Travel:We visited Ahemedabad last year to visit maama and your sisters.We also stayed over at mahabalipuram in the beginning of the year before we left Chennai city and moved over to Hyderabad for good.
·         You always tell me that you will travel all over the world.Travel untill you turn 80.My lil dreamer!You sound like me;)
·         You enjoy music.Cheerleader is your favorite song.
·         You hate dancing in public places.Its so cute!
·         Lego is a world you slip into.Its amazing to watch you create with your nimble little fingers a world with LEGO.
·         You got rid of your training wheels in your cycle.You were such a go-getter. You fell a bazillion times.But never gave up until you could ride the cycle without the training wheels.The joy on your face once you started riding stayed on your face for about a week.Such a proud accomplishment that was for you!And yes,we did a family ice cream treat to celebrate:)
·         Watching you wash vessels is almost meditative.You learnt it at school and always help me wash vessels at home when our help is off for the day
·         You love to finger knit and fork knitting.It calms you.Im learning finger knitting along with you,it calms me too:)

 ps:this post has been lying in my drafts fora month now.Finally got around to posting it today!

Some random things about Yathaarth.

Here are some things about my son and I find it funny and queer at times.Nevertheless all these make my son,the prettiest baby ever. 1.Yathaarth HATES pacifiers.Period.I first introduced the pacifier when he was about 2 weeks old.He spat it out.I tried a month later(a different one this time around)-He spat it out.I kept trying on and off - same result.Last month when I was cleaning his storage space,he found the pacifier,played around with it and when he realized it was a pacifier - Well,he SPAT IT OUT! 2.Yathaarth is a people's person.He loves to be around with people(Known faces strangers just anyone).He loves cooing and babbling to them.He loves smiling at people.He just loves people. 3.Yathaarth was always a 'talker'.He started his baby jargon at around 2 months of age.I found this very very scary at times(paranoid me) 4.Yathaarth loves to stretch his arms wide when we take him on walks(when someone is carrying him)he loves to feel the textures of the surfaces his hand...

A letter

Found this in the drafts - publishing it now:) Hey there lil soldier! After you were born,I never wrote a single letter to you.I did have the urge to,many many times,but never did.So finally,today as you you sleep peacefully in your cot,hugging your blankie tight,I am going to try my best to spill out all those overflowing emotions and love and find the right words to do that. I think I would mentioned a gazillion times as to how much you have changed our lives forever,I think you will be hearing that pretty much a lot.Dad and I still think it all like a dream,a very very beautiful dream,especially when you lay between us on our bed,yapping away to glory or as you sit quietly on my lap as we drive,sometimes listening to what dad and I speak or sometimes answering back,with a lot of BAAAAAAAAAAA'S.It is at moments like these,that your dad and I share a quick smile and WONDER.Wonder in pure awe. The Golden Title

Those pretty nights when we cuddle and hug,just before your beautiful eyes close gently with the ecstasy of sleep,those are the moments when you merrily paint my world red with love. A snippet from one such night: Me:Yaddu,are you happy that God gave us you as your mum and appa? Y:Amma,when we were up there with God,He gave us a special machine( dont' miss the sci-fi touch )where we could talk.Its attached to ourtummies.However God never forgets to remove those machines before He puts us into Mummas. Me:( Simply open mouthed)............... Y ( continues.....): So,God said I can go and choose my amma and appa.He took me to a room.Its called the Blue Room.Mamma,its full of very bad appas. Me:( Now simply curious..).I stay quiet though... Y:Then He took me to a red room,and that was full of bad bad mummas. Me:Oh no.What happened next?
